The vibrant coffee scene in Chiang Mai is definitely one of the best things about the Northern part of Thailand. Cafes are said to be sprouting in the city so often that there’s a new cafe to explore every week! Today, we’re bringing a brand new cafe that’s special in every way you could imagine right to your computer screens.
This Unfinished Building Is Actually A Coffee Shop With Breathtaking Panoramic View Of Chiang Mai
At first sight, the building looks like an abandoned project that was left half-way during its construction. Even the colours of the building looks faded and have gone through wear and tear. But as you head closer to the building, lo and behold, you’ll realise that it’s no ordinary building.
Boasting a simplistic exterior merely recognisable by its name at the storefront – Coffee x Tower, there is much more than meets the eye. Entering through the grey metal doors, you’re immediately greeted by its similarly minimalistic space with grey hues. Exposed wiring are contrasted against the modern furnitures and coffee machines – creating a compelling coffee scenery that’s never seen before elsewhere.
The Rectangle Coffee x Tower Offers Delectable Desserts & Amazing Coffee

Drinks such as The Dust – fuses espresso with their “secret” milk and topped off with milo powder. Now, that’s a drink you don’t see very often.
Besides looking forward to their coffee, The Rectangle also has an array of desserts perfect for tea-time. Beautifully made and decorated on each plate, their desserts taste exactly as how they look – heavenly delicious! Their popular Strawberry Creamy has thick and fluffy toast topped with salted cream cheese and big strawberries.
